With a mixture of feelings, I note today that this coming Sunday, August 24, marks the closing day for my solo exhibition at the Woodson Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin. The last couple of months have seemed to fly by and in This summer in That city I've been honored to have my works spotlighted for the many who have visited the museum.
I received news this morning that the collections committee met and overwhelmingly selected this work, In the Summer, In the City, to be added to the permanent collection at the Woodson. I am most pleased to have this work become a part of the wonderful collection there and to reside along side the works of so many other fine, well respected artists from many time frames and many countries around the world.
There are still a few days left before the gallery will close for the rehanging of the upcoming opening of this year's Birds in Art exhibition, which will open on September 6, so if you have not yet visited the Woodson, try and get there before close on Sunday.
Again, my thanks to the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum for placing my work in front of so many viewers at this most exciting time in my career.
